Bodywork for the Equine
Stress Point Release and Massage
Each bodywork session consists of a full-body stresspoint evaluation, and muscle release through various modalities and techniques. Ridden work, conformation, genetics, and injury all create imbalanced stresses on the body that the body is constantly trying to maintain. Massage and tissue manipulation can help to unwind these areas of dysfunction allowing the body to regain its natural range of motion and peak performance potential. Our horses provide unwavering dedication to our pursuits and through bodywork, we can give back to them by providing comfort and relaxation in both mind and body.
Core Strengthening Exercises
Just as when we go to the gym, controlled dynamic exercise helps to rebuild muscle memory and strengthen the entire body. Curated exercise routines are given to each horse (and owner) after the bodywork session to rebuild those neuromuscular pathways to help strengthen and improve the overall fitness of the horse. As the horse progresses in their individual skill set, these exercises are built upon and modified to continue the progression of their fitness journey. Participation from the equestrian partner is essential to the continued improvement of our equines between each session.
Saddle Fit Evaluation
An often missed and key element to the health of your equine partner is a properly fit saddle. With competing philosophies on fit and seemingly endless choices of brands, technology, and features, it can be overwhelming to feel like we know where to look when figuring out this piece of the puzzle. Having fit saddles for hundreds of horses and riders, and an understanding of evaluating correct biomechanics, I can help pinpoint the key structures needed for healthy unhindered saddle fit.
